You may already know the physical implications of carrying extra weight on your body, but there are also aesthetic problems that develop as well. Stretching your skin over months and years affects how well it can contour to your shape. Aging exacerbates the problem because your body produces less elastin. Losing fat is another problem that develops. The combination of these two factors may result in sagging, loose skin, and bulges of stubborn fat. A body and thigh lift removes the skin and fat to give you a more toned appearance.

What Are Inner and Outer Thigh Lifts?

Inner and outer thigh lifts remedy excess fat and loose skin on the thighs. A person may need plastic surgery on one area or the entire thigh. The lower section of the buttocks may also be modified during the procedure.

What Are the Different Types of the

Outer and the Inner Thigh Lift

A medial thigh lift is probably the most basic one from the technical point of view. The incision draws a straight line on the inner part of the legs but is well hidden. Sometimes the incision goes down to the knee, which allows the surgeon to fix saggy skin around the calf muscle. Medial thigh lift is often combined with liposuction that helps to better contour the area and thin it out. This approach provides faster healing.

A crescent thigh lift is another type of the inner thigh lift procedure that works best for people who have lost lots of weight, and the skin on their thighs gets saggy. A little crescent piece of skin on the upper thighs is taken away. Then, the middle area of the thighs gets pulled up and lifted.

A lateral thigh lift is done on the outer thighs. A lateral thigh lift is often combined with a tummy tuck and/or butt lift procedures. In this case, the surgeon makes one incision and typically starts with removing excess skin and fat on the front abdomen (tummy tuck), continues lifting up the skin on the buttocks (butt lift), and then pulling up skin on the sides of the legs (lateral thigh lift). The technique differs greatly from the one used on the inner thighs. The skin on the outer thighs is typically very heavy and a skilled surgeon is required to keep it in place and avoid opening incisions.

A spiral thigh lift is a combination of the outer thigh lift and the inner thigh lift better known as a 360-degree thigh lift. The incision starts underneath the buttocks and goes through the inner part of the thighs around the hips. This way, the surgeon addresses several areas at the same time, and the optimal amount of skin and fat can be removed.

FAQS about THIGH LIFTS

What Are the Benefits

of a Thigh Lift?

A body and thigh lift addresses aesthetic concerns that cannot be corrected with diet and exercise alone.

What Should I Expect From

My Thigh Lift?

Once you maintain your ideal weight for at least 12 months, you may be a good candidate for a body and thigh lift. We can provide details about the procedure and anticipated outcome during your consultation.

How Long Do The Results Last?

The results of a body and thigh lift may last for many years if you follow a healthy lifestyle of eating properly and exercising.

How Do I Get a Thigh Gap?

A thigh gap is the space between the thighs that is visible when a person stands with their legs together. Although natural anatomy does play a role, not having a thigh gap may indicate that you have extra fat on your inner thigh. Removing the fat with a thigh lift, and possibly liposuction, increases the space between your thighs.

What Is an Upper and Lower

Body Lift?

Body lifts can involve the upper or lower part of your body. The upper body lift includes the chest, abdomen, arms, and back. A lower body lift includes the buttocks, abdomen, and thighs.

HOW MUCH DOES A THIGH LIFT COST?
